John Daley Reporting The man charged with the murder of five-year-old Destiny Norton made his first in-person appearance in court today, this after granting his first jail house interview to KSL-TV.

In court today, Craig Roger Gregerson spoke just a few words in response to questions from the judge, but he discussed his case at length over the weekend with Eyewitness News, and that conversation has people talking today. He was wearing shackles on his hands and feet and a green flak jacket, and at times, he was wearing a smirk.

Craig Roger Gregerson is charged with aggravated murder and child kidnapping. In a jail house interview, without a recording device, he told KSL's Gene Kennedy his alleged confession to the FB "wasn't a full fledge confession. I told them (FBI) the basics and they filled in the gaps and exaggerated the details."

When asked specifically about the allegations against him, he said, "I really want to answer that but my lawyer is preventing me from doing that right now in light of the case. I can tell you this. I have now become a strong advocate against pornography."

After today's court hearing his attorneys declined comment.

Ralph Della Piana, Gregerson's Attorney: "We won't be making any statements at this time."

The chief prosecutor won't discuss the interview either.

Bob Stott, Chief Prosecutor : "I wasn't there. I have no comment."

In fact, there's little he will say, except to describe the purpose of the preliminary hearing.

Bob Stott, Chief Prosecutor: "The purpose for a prelim is for the prosecution to put enough evidence on to convince a judge beyond the standard of probable cause that the defendant committed the crime. That's what we'd like to do."

On KSL Radio's Doug Wright Show, callers zeroed in on pornography and debated Gregerson's comments.

KSL Radio Caller: "Pornography is just an insidious thing, espcially with some people."

KSL Radio Caller: "I believe he is a psychopath, he was just born that way."

KSL Radio Caller: "Gregerson, chances are he's done it before."

On KSL's website, Autumn writes: "porn itself didn't kill her....but porn is the leader of almost all sexual crimes."

John replies: "Porn doesn't make people rape, it doesn't make people kill."

Today's hearing was brief and the preliminary hearing was postponed until October 3rd and 4th.
