A Utahn helped lead the U.S. women's volleyball team to a win over Italy in the semifinals match Tuesday night in Beijing.

The U.S. volleyball team came from behind and pulled out a win over Italy to advance to the semifinals. Utah's own Logan Tom has been a huge part of the team's success.

As she told us, "It ain't over 'til it's over, there are always points to play. And as long as there's still a fighting chance, we're going to keep fighting."

Logan Tom, a wing spiker for the team grew up in Salt Lake and attended Highland High School, where she set several state records.

At age 19 she made the U.S. volleyball team. She's played in both the Sydney and Athens Olympic games. She's been a key player for this year's Olympic team, winning the final two points against Italy on a block and a spike.

The women will face Cuba on Thursday. If they win, they will play the winner of China and Brazil's match for the gold. The gold medal game is on Saturday.

In Athens, the team finished fifth. In Beijing, they are going for the gold.
