KSL File Photo(KSL News) A man convicted of murdering a security guard at a truck stop was a no-show at his sentencing today, but it may not have been his fault.
Prosecutors say deputies did not take Roger Malcolm to the courthouse this morning either because he refused to leave his cell or because of a "technicality."
Malcolm was convicted of shooting and killing Verne Jenkins during a scuffle at the Sapp Brothers truck stop last December. Malcolm claimed he was acting in self defense.
His sentencing has been rescheduled for next week.
