(KSL News) - A Roosevelt man died in a rollover last night along U-40 in Eastern Utah.
Robert Lewis was traveling between Roosevelt and Vernal on U-40.
Utah HIghway Patrol says Lewis was driving on the wrong side of the highway when he collided with the rail of a bridge, launching his car onto a concrete barrier. The force of the impact tore his car in two. Half landed in the roadway, the other tumbled into a dry creek bed.
Part of the car landed on top of Lewis, killing him instantly.
Troopers are investigating why Lewis was driving against traffic.
