ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A former contestant on NBC's "The Voice" has been shot and critically wounded at an Orlando, Florida concert venue. Police say Christina Grimmie's brother tackled the shooter, who managed to fatally shot himself. Police say the suspect had two guns. Grimmie finished third during season six.
HAWTHORNE, Calif. (AP) — California authorities say two people are dead after their small plane slammed into a town house in the Los Angeles suburb of Hawthorne. A Los Angeles County fire dispatcher said nobody on the ground was hurt. A witness tells KNBC-TV he heard the engine sputtering as the plane flew at a low altitude.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Police in Richmond, Virginia say a disorderly conduct charge has been filed against one of five people detained at a Donald Trump rally. About 100 protesters marched at the venue. Donald Trump was back to his old self, speaking without a teleprompter, Denying he's a racist, calling Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren "Pocahontas" and saying Hillary Clinton "hates" President Barack Obama.
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — Test materials for a college entrance exam to be given in South Korea and Hong Kong have been breached. Operators of the ACT college entrance exam canceled the tests, affecting about 5,500 test takers who will receive refunds of test fees. The ACT, an Iowa-based nonprofit organization, had planned to administer the tests at 56 different locations in South Korea and Hong Kong.
CLEVELAND (AP) — The Golden State Warriors are within one win of another NBA title after a stellar performance from beyond the three-point arc. Stephen Curry scored 38 points, Klay Thompson added 25 and the Warriors hit 17 three-point shots to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 108-97 on Friday night to take a 3-1 series lead. They can wrap it up with a win Monday at home.
