SPARKS, Nev. (AP) — Authorities say a 44-year-old Sparks man has died after an accident involving a hay bale compressor.

KTVN-TV reports (http://bit.ly/28l24pu ) that the Storey County Sheriff's Office says Alfonso Martinez-Ojeda died late Tuesday after an accident at Menezes Bros., Inc. near Lockwood.

Deputies say Martinez-Ojeda crawled under a portion of the hay bale compressor and accidentally tripped a sensor causing it to turn on. They say no foul play is suspected.

He later died at the Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.

Deputies say Martinez-Ojeda had worked at Menezes Bros, an alfalfa and straw processing plant, for four months.
