SUMMERLAND — Summer is here! AKA, the glorious time when many of your favorite television shows go on hiatus, so you can bask in the glow of the rewatch and soak up the rays of old favorite TV moments.

Outdoor concerts are popular and screening series in parks and cemeteries hark back to the days of drive-in. But why not take your love of those warm summer nights and your addiction to TV and create the perfect evening out?

If you like to scheme, snark and be scandalous in the summer:

Gossip Girl — 'Summer Kind of Wonderful' (Season 2, Episode 1)

Blair’s sundresses alone will put you in the mood for iced tea and sitting pretty by the pool. (And ok, Serena looks like an actual goddess at the White Party.) But the real winner of the episode are The Hamptons themselves, in all their decadent glory.

Where to watch: Netflix

If your summer fun includes a picnic:

Parks and Recreation — 'Summer Catalogue' (Season 2, Episode 20)

I defy you not to cry at the cuteness of Andy and April in this episode. And laugh at silly old men who hate everything.

Where to watch: Netflix

If summer means the beach:

The O.C. — 'The Aftermath' (Season 3, Episode 1)

Yes, there is a lot of drama going on in the scenes before and after it, but the three minutes of The Core Four taking Jimmy’s yacht to the shore for one of the rare, true-to-southern-California moments of the show is perfectly sun-kissed and windswept.

Where to watch: CW Seed

If you like to stay inside during the summer months:

New Girl — 'Heat Wave' (Season 5, Episode 9)

Nick trying to look cool (pun intended) in front of replacement-Jess, Reagan, takes him from frozen underpants to a set up of fans so ridiculous it is not to be believed. Then they cause a brown-out. Those crazy kids!

Where to watch: FOX.com, Hulu

If you like to grill in the summer:

Modern Family — 'Grill, Interrupted' (Season 6, Episode 19)

You’ll appreciate Phil’s battle with the high-tech grill he buys Phil as a birthday gift. Those darn things have so many bells and whistles these days!

Where to watch: Hulu

If your summer plans take you out to the ball game:

Arrested Development — 'Switch Hitter' (Season 2, Episode 7)

Send your brother in to throw the company softball game. Win the company softball game, run the company. That is the rock solid logic the Bluth family parades around between chicken dances.

Where to watch: Netflix

If you have a hijinks-filled family trip planned this summer:

The Brady Bunch — 'Hawaii Bound' (Season 2, Episode 1-3)

If your family doesn’t know the curse of the Tiki idol, they obviously need to watch this classic family vacation. Alice hurts her back learning the hula and a tarantula makes its way into their hotel room. A curse indeed!

Where to watch: Hulu
