(KSL News) West Valley City police are investigating an overnight shooting. Lt. Bill Merritt says around 3 a.m. a car pulled up to a group of people near 4500 South and 3900 West.

He said, "They started yelling at each other. We're not exactly certain what it was that they were saying. The people inside the white vehicle pulled out a shotgun and a .22-caliber gun and started firing at the group standing in front of the home."

A teenage boy was hit in the leg, and a teenage girl was hit in the face and shoulder. A woman was also grazed when some pellets flew into her apartment. All victims are expected to be OK.

Police don't have many leads right now. Merritt says, "We don't know make, we don't know model, we don't know a year. We don't know anything further than that. We are not even certain of exactly how many occupants were in that vehicle." The only thing they know right now is that the white vehicle had a burned out headlight. They also don't have any details on the shooters.
