Tonya Papanikolas ReportingA mother is speaking out tonight, four days after a flash flood near Price killed two of her three children. Searchers are still looking for the body of her youngest son.
Two-year-old Brooklynn Seal is still in intensive care, on breathing tubes. She swallowed a lot of water in the flash flood, but her mother says she's expected to pull through. After all the family has been through, Brooklyn is giving them hope.
Courtney Seal remembers a 20-foot wall of water rushing her car. After the car flipped numerous times, she quickly undid her three kids' seatbelts. Before she could get them out, she got swept away.
Courtney Seal, Caught in Flash Flood: "When I came up out of the river about a mile away, I looked up and there was Brooklyn floating on her back."
Seal grabbed on to her daughter while her husband ran back to the car to find five-year-old Levi caught inside.
Courtney Seal: "It was so smashed to the ground that there was no way he could have gotten in."
After police arrived, it took seven men, including Levi's grandpa, to get him out. Meanwhile, no one could find one-year-old Jayden. Searchers haven't given up. Over the past four days, they've combed the area on foot, on four-wheelers and horseback.
Courtney Seal: "I want to thank everybody, everybody out there searching for my baby. It means so much to me and my husband."
Both parents have spent the past few days by their daughter's side.
Courtney Seal: "That's what's keeping me going. I still have a baby."
Levi never regained consciousness. His parents eventually made the tough decision to take him off life support. Now his mom can't help wishing she'd had more time with her boys.
Courtney Seal: "To feed ‘em, you know, to give them baths. To take walks, go to the park."
But she's hoping her boys will be side by side once again.
Courtney Seal: "I just need to find my baby. I need to find my one-year-old so he can be at rest with his brother."
The family is trying to wait as long as they can to find Jayden before planning a funeral. On top of all this, they didn't have health insurance.
