(KSL News) -- A St. George man is in the hospital following an armed standoff.
Officers say the 53-year old man barricaded himself in his house yestrday afternoon and told police he had a bomb. Police believe the man assaulted his mother's boyfriend before the standoff started.
When negotiations failed, officers rushed the house and tazed the man.
He was intoxicated and taken to the hospital. There police found he had also been taking drugs. The man was sent to the Intensive Care Unit.
When he is released from the hospital, he faces charges of aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, intoxication and possible drug charges
