It turns out Ogden is building a name as a great outdoors spot.
Ogden makes National Geographic Adventures' top 12 list of great adventure towns.
It's called a "Disneyland for adrenalized adults." The magazine says it's because of the city's access to waterskiing, river rafting and park areas. Proximity to Salt Lake City and Olympic venues also helps.
Ogden is growing in reputation as an outdoor town. "Outside" magazine ranks Ogden third on its yearly list of "Best 10 towns in America."
The Standard-Examiner reports "Rock and Ice" magazine will name Ogden as the number three climbing hot spot in the U.S.
