The Thunder top the Spurs 3-2 in their best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal and tonight host Game 6. If the Spurs walk off the floor with a win tonight they will host the final game of the series on Sunday.
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — The Orlando Magic are looking for a new coach as Scott Skiles is out. He has stepped down after just one year on the job and a record of 35-47. That was a 10-game increase from the year before but most of the wins came in the first half of the season.
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — The seventh game of the San Jose-Nashville Stanley Cup Western Conference playoff series is tonight on the Sharks' ice. The Predators forced the deciding game three nights ago with a 4-3 win in Nashville. The winner of tonight's contest will advance to the NHL's Western Conference final against St. Louis.
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — The PGA's Players Championship is being played this weekend in Ponte Vedra (PAHN'-teh VEE'-druh) Beach, Florida. The world's top-ranked player, Jason Day, has enjoyed the best round of the day so far. He opened with a 9-under 63 while World No. 2 Jordan Spieth (speeth) shot even-par 72.
MONTREAL (AP) — Kenya always has a strong track and field team at the Olympics but the nation's appearance this year in Brazil is now not a guaranteed thing. Officials from WADA (WAH'-duh), the World Anti-Doping Agency, say Kenya's drug-fighting agency is out of compliance and that jeopardizes the country's chances of competing.
