CHICAGO (AP) — Padres shortstop Alexei Ramirez has left San Diego's game against the Chicago Cubs due to cramping in his left hamstring.

Ramirez hustled into second base with an RBI double in the fifth inning and then was hunched over behind the bag when a trainer came out to check on him. Ramirez motioned to his left hamstring and walked off the field under his own power after a short discussion.

Adam Rosales came in to run and scored on Jon Jay's double Tuesday night. Rosales stayed in to play shortstop.

The Padres had nine players on the disabled list coming into the day, including four infielders.
