OGDEN — Ogden police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a stabbing that occurred early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to a report of multiple people fighting outside on the 100 block of Southwell Street at about 4:14 a.m., according to the Ogden Police Department. Investigators said they didn’t find anyone at the scene, but several minutes later learned there was a 24-year-old man with a stab wound at a local hospital.
The man was being treated for a stab wound to his chest that was sustained in the fight on Southwell Street, according to Ogden police. Investigators said his injuries are not expected to be life threatening and he was in stable condition Sunday.
Police said they do not have any suspects at this time, but the “incident appears to be an isolated event.” The stabbing is still under investigation.
