NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — The Latest on a shooting at a Las Vegas-area day care center that left two adults dead and two young children wounded (all times local):

4:05 p.m.

Police say a man who killed his wife, wounded their two children and shot himself dead outside a North Las Vegas preschool had been banned by a judge from approaching his family.

North Las Vegas police said Friday that Christina Pearl Franklin had an active temporary protective order against Travis Lee Spitler that also banned Spitler from the Kids Campus Learning Center, where the shooting took place.

Police say the couple had a history of domestic violence before Franklin obtained the court order.

The Clark County coroner says Franklin died of multiple gunshot wounds in the Thursday morning shooting. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Spitler's death was ruled a suicide.

Their 3-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son were hospitalized with wounds that police said weren't life-threatening.

The deaths of two parents fatally shot in front of their two young children at a suburban Las Vegas day care center have been declared a murder-suicide.

The Clark County coroner's office says 27-year-old Christina Pearl Franklin died of multiple gunshot wounds in the Thursday morning shooting. Her death was ruled a homicide.

The death of 40-year-old Travis Lee Spitler of Las Vegas was ruled a suicide. The coroner's office said he died of a gunshot wound to the head.

North Las Vegas police said their 3-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son also suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds at the scene before being hospitalized.

Police say the mother was dropping off the children at the Kids Campus Learning Center when the father appeared and shots were fired.

Authorities have identified the man who fatally shot the mother of his two young children in front of a suburban Las Vegas day care center.

The Clark County Coroner's office says 40-year-old Travis Lee Spitler of Las Vegas died in the Thursday morning shooting.

The mother who also died hasn't been named but North Las Vegas police say she's a 27-year-old woman.

They were the parents of the 3-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy who also suffered gunshot wounds at the scene.

The children were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the mother was dropping off the children at the Kids Campus Learning Center when the father appeared and shots were fired. One weapon was recovered.

No other children were on site.

No one else was hurt.
