KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee has signed former Winthrop player Schaquilla (pronounced Sha-KWEE-la) Nunn as a graduate transfer, a move that should boost the Lady Volunteers' frontcourt depth next season.

Nunn missed the 2015-16 season with a broken foot. The 6-foot-3 center averaged 13.7 points, 11.3 rebounds and 3.6 blocks per game for Winthrop in 2014-15. She holds Winthrop career records for rebounds (910) and blocks (279).

In a university release Tuesday announcing the move, Tennessee coach Holly Warlick said Nunn is "a very talented and highly motivated player and one who has a great deal of experience at the college level."

The Lady Vols needed frontcourt help as they replace Bashaara Graves, who ended her college career as one of five players in school history with at least 1,500 points and 1,000 rebounds.
