TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Alabama has signed graduate transfer Corban Collins from Morehead State.
Crimson Tide coach Avery Johnson said Monday that Collins "is a terrific young man, a good teammate and fills a need for us in terms of someone who can really score the basketball."
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound guard was a second-team Ohio Valley Conference pick last season. He graduated with a degree in health promotion last December and is eligible to play next season.
Collins started 28 games last season and led the Eagles in scoring with 11 points per game. He also averaged team-highs with three assists and 29 minutes per game, and was the team's top 3-point shooter.
Collins was second in the OVC in 3-point percentage and assist-to-turnover ratio.
