WASHINGTON (AP) — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says his wife was not rolling her eyes at Republican presidential front runner Donald Trump when he said Hillary Clinton would not win so many votes if she were a man. Voters circulated video on social media and many called it an eye roll. Meanwhile, former Speaker John Boehner is raising eyebrows. He told a student group that Texas Senator Ted Cruz is "Lucifer in the flesh."

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom and other gun control advocates are pushing for a November ballot initiative that would tighten California's already tough gun laws. An effort is underway to submit more than a half-million signatures to qualify for an initiative. Among other things, the measure would require background checks at the point of sale for ammunition.

BALTIMORE (AP) — Police in Baltimore say a man shot by a police sniper outside a TV station is expected to survive. He was waring an animal costume and surgical mask and claimed to have a bomb. It turned out to be a flotation device with foil wrapped candy bars taped inside. Police had to use a robot to remove the device before he could be transported to a hospital.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — A forensic psychologist has testified that a man who acknowledged killing three people at a Colorado Planned Parenthood clinic suffers from a delusional disorder. Robert Dear is said to believe the FBI is persecuting him and that President Barack Obama is the Antichrist. A competency hearing was held today.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A law enforcement official tells The Associated Press that prescription drugs were discovered at Prince's home when the musician was found dead in his complex in suburban Minneapolis. Other news organizations are also reporting that that prescription painkillers were found on the 57-year-old musician and in his home. Prince died April 21. Autopsy results are pending.
