(KSL News) The man who is serving prison time for nearly starving to death a 5-year-old girl two years ago says he didn't realize she was dying.
Michael John Bowden said during a parole hearing this week that his cocaine use and drinking led to the girl's drastic weight loss to just 13 pounds.
Bowden was taking care of the quadriplegic child while her mother served in the military in Iraq.
