(KSL News) A man who had an expired registration led police on a wild chase in West Valley City.

Troopers say the man pulled over near 3500 South and Bangerter Highway then quickly took off again and led the officer on a 10-minute chase before he crashed into a front yard.

The man jumped from his car and started running, but police dogs quickly found his hiding spot.

Robert Nixon, with the Utah Highway Patrol, said, "One of the dogs led us straight to where the man was hiding, up on a rooftop in the neighborhood."

Troopers say the car driven by the man may have been stolen.
