(KSL News) People in Salt Lake County will join others across the country tonight to stand up against violence and crime in their communities. It's the 25th annual National Night Out Against Crime.
The event is seen by some law enforcement agencies as an opportunity to connect with the community and focus on safety and crime prevention.
Sgt. Scott VanWagoner, with the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office, is taking part in one such event tonight and joined us to discuss the program in Talking Point.
