AMES, Iowa (AP) — Iowa State has signed prep forward Cameron Lard to a letter of intent.
Lard, a 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward from Louisiana, missed his senior season because of transfer rules. But as a junior, Lard averaged 16 points and 10 rebounds at Natchitoches Central High School.
Lard, the fifth member of coach Steve Prohm's first recruiting class, was rated as a four-star recruit by ESPN and 247sports.com.
Lard might play immediately next season since the Cyclones lose post players Georges Niang, Jameel McKay and Abdel Nader to graduation.
