(KSL News) California residents driving through Utah rolled their car today, killing one person.
The vehicle was southbound at about 4:15 on I-15 near mile marker 130 when it ran off the road to the left. The driver overcorrected back to the right. The vehicle traveled across the freeway and then off the west side of I-15. The vehicle rolled over before coming to rest on its wheels, facing a southeastern direction.
The rear passenger, 48-year-old Karen Kooyman was ejected from the vehicle and killed. She was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver and another passenger were taken to Beaver Valley Hospital.
