(KSL News) A Provo police officer is recovering after he was bitten by a pit bull yesterday.
The officer, who was on bicycle patrol, was walking by a room at the Best Motel in Provo when the dog attacked him. He suffered abrasions on his leg but did not require any stitches.

The dog was taken to the pound and will remain under quarantine for the next 10 days while tests for rabies are done.
The dog's owner was cited for having a vicious animal and allowing the dog to run at large.
