SALT LAKE CITY — A motto/slogan is an important factor for a state’s identity. It needs to embrace the greatness of the state in a short, four- or five-word phrase.
Many state slogans are written on license plates. Utah has “Greatest Snow on Earth” and “Life Elevated” as its license plate mottos. On Monday, Gov. Gary Herbert signed HB127, which makes the “In God We Trust” license plate a standard plate option, removing the $5 specialty plate fee.
In this quiz, we’ll look at some state slogans. Some of them should be familiar to most, while some may new to you. If you’ve traveled throughout this great country of ours, you should do well.
