(KSL News) -- Crews have rescued a hiker who fell in Big Cottonwood Canyon this afternoon.
A pair of hikers came across the man; one stayed with him and another hiked to get cell phone service.
Rescuers called in helicopters because it would take hours to reach the man by foot.
The man was flown to University hospital with serious injuries.
