(KSL News) -- A woman who jumped three stories to avoid a massive fire in her condo will be in the hospital for at least six months.
Eyewitness news spoke to Nikki Daly at LDS hospital today. Her family is spending time with her, and get-well wishes from others are within sight during her long recovery.
Daly was in her apartment Wednesday when it was overtaken by fire. She says she was just a few seconds away from being burned. A neighbor repeatedly yelled at her to jump, which she reluctantly did.
Nikki Daley: "I just can't explain it. It was the scariest thing I've ever done in my life. I've never been so scared. After I jumped I thought I was paralyzed."
Nikki and her husband had just moved into the condo, and lost $6,000 worth of new furniture. Unified fire investigators are still not releasing the cause of the fire.
