SALT LAKE CITY — Three noteworthy stories from the world of sports in today's From Left Field.

1. Craig Sager's cancer is out of remission

We begin with sad news for the beloved NBA TV personality, known for his crazy suits as he interviews the NBA's biggest players. Sager was diagnosed with leukemia in 2014, and has been in and out of the sidelines since. For most of this season, though, he's been healthy, to the delight of everyone.

Sager told HBO that he's stepping back to have a third stem cell transplant.

"I’ve already had two stem cell transplants. Very rarely does someone have a third. So I have to maintain my strength so I can go through this."

We wish Sager all the best during his fight with cancer.

2. LeBron no longer follows the Cavs on social media

In much less serious news, LeBron James unfollowed the Cleveland Cavaliers social media accounts on Twitter and Instagram Monday. For most players, that wouldn't be big news, but given James' history of leaving Cleveland, well, it might mean something.

Of course, it could very easily not mean anything. But when asked about it postgame Monday, James wasn't giving an explanation.

So LeBron was asked about reportedly unfollowing the Cavs...

Look, maybe James was frustrated by the question. But the reporter gave him several outs there: James could have said "I don't know how that happened" (we've all accidentally unfollowed someone before!), or "someone on my staff made a mistake," or anything. Instead, saying nothing only amplifies the situation.

Yes, it's likely a mountain being made out of a molehill. But why add to it?

3. Baylor's LaQuan McGowan weighs in at 405 pounds

Because he wasn't invited to the NFL combine, McGowan was measured at his own pro day in Texas. And the results are pretty astonishing: he's a 6-foot-6-inch, 405 pound man.

McGowan was a tight end for Baylor, but would likely move to offensive lineman at the pro level. It's still very up in the air if he's drafted, but if he was, he'd be the heaviest player ever taken. The former record went to Aaron Gibson at 386 in the 1999 NFL draft, according to Pro Football Talk.

And because I like records being set, I'm rooting for McGowan.
