TENAFLY, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey father has been ordered to stay away from his son's high school basketball coach after pleading guilty to sending harassing emails when the boy wasn't named to an all-league team.
The Record reports (http://bit.ly/258vGVw) that David Kushner pleaded guilty Wednesday in Tenafly Municipal Court. Police say Kushner and his wife sent anonymous emails to the coach and his supervisors in an attempt to get him fired.
The coach, Michael Doto, told police he received the emails in March 2015 after announcing the Cresskill High School players on an all-league team. The list didn't include the Kushner's son.
Kushner resigned from his position as president of the Alpine Country Club after he was charged.
Charges against his wife were dismissed as part of the deal. He will pay a $250 fine.
