A dog owner has been ticketed in Park City for leaving his dog in a parked car.
The Park Record reports that officers were called to the 400 block of Main Street by a nightclub worker who reported the dog had been in the car for at least three hours.
When police arrived, the car's windows were up, and the dog was panting heavily.
Just as they got ready to break into the car, the owner showed up and told them they were overreacting. He's being cited for animal cruelty.
