SPRINGVILLE — A woman is being questioned in connection with the theft of a donation jar in Springville, police said.
In a video posted to Facebook Friday, the woman can be seen taking the jar from the counter of a convenience store. The donations were being collected for a man with cancer,* according to employees at Jake's Brookside convenience store.
Multiple people said they were familiar with the woman, and one contacted police with information, according to the Springville Police Department.

Police officers contacted the woman, who initially denied involvement and said she was working when the jar was stolen. Police investigated her alibi and additional people who saw the video called police regarding her whereabouts. Officers contacted her again Monday morning, and she admitted she stole the jar, police said.
