FLORIN — It is inconceivable that any Rob Reiner-directed movie could be beloved in the state of Utah more than the 1987 cult classic "The Princess Bride."
Based on the book by William Goldman (whom Reiner retained to also write the screenplay), "The Princess Bride" is one of the most quotable movies on every Utahn's DVD shelf. Just walk into any stake center and say, "No more rhymes now, I mean it!" and someone will respond in .06 seconds, no question. It works better than "Marco! Polo!"
And in celebration of Reiner's 69th birthday today, let us honor the "Spinal Tap" and "When Harry Met Sally" director with a quiz about his swashbuckling romantic comedy.
