NEW YORK (AP) — A.J. English scored 23 points and Iona pulled away in the second half to beat Manhattan 86-73 on Friday night for the Gaels' fourth-straight win.

Jordan Washington added 16 points and Deyshonee Much for the Gaels (18-10, 15-4 Metro Atlantic), who won their 50th in 90 games against their rival from 9.3 miles away. Isaiah Williams had 13 points and Aaron Rountree 11.

Manhattan (12-16, 9-10) led 48-43 at the half but Much and English had 3-pointers as Iona quickly grabbed a 51-48 lead. Washington's layup put the Gaels up 70-60 with 8:53 to play and Roundtree's basket on an assists from English, who had six helpers, made it 80-55 with 4:22 remaining.

Rich Williams had a career-high 27 points for the Jaspers with Zane Waterman adding 18 and Shane Richards 17.
