PARIS (AP) — French yogurt maker Danone says its net profit rose 14.6 percent last year on higher sales of its fresh dairy and bottled water brands.

The Paris-based group behind Activia yogurt and Evian water says it made 1.28 billion euros ($1.4 billion) last year, up from 1.12 billion in 2014.

In a statement Tuesday, Danone forecast "volatile and uncertain" economic conditions this year and warned of "difficulties" in markets including China and Brazil. The company has set a goal of "strong, profitable and sustainable" growth by 2020.

Danone shares rose 2.2 percent to 62.24 euros in early trading on the Paris stock exchange.
