It's his second-straight victory after a first-place finish in New Hampshire. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are fighting for second place. After a poor showing in the primary, Jeb Bush suspended his campaign.
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Hillary Clinton is celebrating a crucial win over Bernie Sanders in Nevada's Democratic caucuses. At a raucous victory rally in Las Vegas on Saturday, she lavished praise on her supporters and declared, "This one is for you." The victory puts Clinton in a strong position as her presidential bid advances toward the delegate-rich March 1 Super Tuesday contests.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Some Republicans are criticizing President Barack Obama for not attending the funeral Mass for conservative Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia on Saturday. Vice President Joe Biden did. The White House says the decision was a "respectful arrangement" given the president's large security detail and Biden's personal relationship with Scalia's family.
NEW YORK (AP) — New York City police say they have notified the FBI's Joint Terrorist Task Force about a confrontation that left two New York City police officers recovering from gunshot wounds. A spokesman for the NYPD says the notification was made as a precaution while investigators continue to try to piece together exactly what happened early Saturday morning in Brooklyn.
KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — The U.S. Air Force says one of its drones has crashed at a base in southern Afghanistan but there were no casualties and no hostile fire is suspected. The MQ-9 Reaper went down at Kandahar Airfield late Saturday. The airfield, the largest base in Afghanistan, is being renovated by the U.S.-NATO mission for mixed military and civilian use.
