(KSL News) The 16-year-old daughter of Warren Jeffs remains in state custody in Texas and is still trying to fire her court appointed lawyer.

According to the Salt Lake Tribune, a new motion filed by Teresa Jeffs claims the behavior of lawyer Natalie Malonis calls into question her ability to cope with the "responsibilities and obligations" of the ongoing child welfare investigation.

The motion does not go into detail about what behavior that may be.

Jeffs first began trying to fire Malonis in June after she tried to halt all contact between Jeffs and members of the FLDS Church with a temporary restraining order.
