The Culinary Union announced in January that it wouldn't unleash its influence on behalf of any one candidate before Nevada's late-February caucuses. The group backed Barack Obama in his heated race with Clinton in 2008. Obama won Nevada's delegate count that year but Clinton won the popular vote.

KSNV-TV in Las Vegas reports that 20-year-old Kristho Garcia, of North Las Vegas, died Friday of injuries suffered in the single-vehicle crash. According to the Clark County coroner's office, Garcia suffered multiple blunt force injuries in the incident. Police say Garcia tried to turn at the intersection of Owens Avenue and Pecos Road but drove straight onto a raised island.
