Car crash causes power outage in west Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) — More than 2,000 households in Last Vegas briefly lost power early Sunday after a car crashed into a utility pole.

KTNV-TV reports ( that a vehicle crashed into a transformer near Sahara Avenue and Fort Apache Road around 1 a.m.

Crews were able to restore the power about an hour later.

Police did not release any details about what caused the crash or if the driver was injured.
