SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — The Sioux Falls Sports Authority has hired an Augustana University athletic administrator as its new executive director.

Bryan Miller is Augustana's assistant athletic director for external operations. He'll begin his duties with the Sports Authority next month.

Miller replaces Wes Hall, who's leaving to become chief operating officer of the Omaha Sports Commission in Nebraska.

Community leaders formed the Sioux Falls Sports Authority in 2006 to recruit major sporting events to the area. It's run by a board of directors made up of 15 community members and the executive director.
