NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Geoffrey Groselle scored 20 points with four rebounds as Creighton rolled to an 82-67 win over Seton Hall on Saturday.
Maurice Watson Jr. added 13 points and dished 14 assists for the Bluejays (12-5, 3-1 Big East Conference). Isaiah Zierden scored 16 points with three assists and four steals and Zach Hanson chipped in 10 points with six rebounds.
Zierden and Cole Huff sank back-to-back 3-pointers late in the first half to spark an 11-4 surge that gave Creighton a 31-26 lead with 3:44 left in the period. The Bluejays stretched it to 41-33 at the break.
Creighton went 15-5 to start the second half for a 56-38 advantage with 17:16 to play and the Bluejays maintained a double-digit lead throughout the remainder of the game.
Khadeen Carrington scored 17 points with four assists for the Pirates (12-4, 2-2).
