EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) — Bridget Perry had 21 points and nine rebounds on Thursday night as Purdue built a commanding lead early in the fourth quarter and held on to upset No. 16 Northwestern 85-71.
Purdue (12-2, 3-0 Big Ten) stretched its lead to 20 with an 11-2 run spanning the third and fourth quarters, ending at 66-46 on April Wilson's basket with 8:13.
Nia Coffey's 3-point play capped a 12-2 run that pulled Northwestern within 72-63 with 3:23 left. The Wildcats (12-3, 1-2) got no closer and dropped their third game in the last five.
Andreona Keys added 18 points, nine rebounds and six assists for the Boilermakers, who won their seventh in a row. Wilson and Ashley Morrissette added 14 points and Dominique McBryde scored 13.
Maggie Lyon had 24 points, Coffey scored 22 and Christen Inman 14 for Northwestern.
