EMMITSBURG, Md. (AP) — Junior Robinson scored 16 of his 17 points in the second half as Mount Saint Mary's pulled away steadily in the final 20 minutes of a 73-62 win over Central Connecticut State Thursday night.
Robinson drilled a 3-pointer 14 seconds into the second period and Chris Wray and BK Ashe each added field goals to give Mount Saint Mary's a 41-30 lead.
The Mountaineers (6-10, 3-0 Northeast), coming off a 44-40 win over St. Francis Brooklyn, are 3-0 in the Northeast Conference for the first time since 2007-08. The Mount has never started the conference season with four straight wins, and faces Bryant Saturday.
Gregory Graves and Wray finished with 13 and 10 points, respectively for the Mount.
Mustafa Jones scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to leave Central Connecticut State (1-13. 0-3). Jahlil Nails added 12 points off the Blue Devils bench and Khalen Cumberlander added 10.
