MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (AP) — Romone Saunders scores 17 points with eight rebounds and Wagner edged Robert Morris 72-69 on Monday.

Matty McConnell's 3-pointer with 1:16 to go pulled Robert Morris to within one, at 70-69. But the Colonials missed their last three shots and two free throws, while Michael Carey made a pair from the line for Wagner. The Seahawks made their last 11 free throws of the game and finished 19 of 24.

Mike Aaman scored 14 points for Wagner (8-5, 1-1 Northeast). Carey finished with 12 points and eight boards while Corey Henson added 11 points.

Robert Morris (2-13, 0-2) was led by Kavon Stewart with 23 points and seven assists. Billy Giles had 17 points, Elijah Minnie scores 13 points with seven boards and Rodney Pryor added 10.

Wagner used a 7-point spurt near the end of the first half to lead 35-31 at intermission.
