FOUNTAIN GREEN, Sanpete County — Officials arrested five people Wednesday after finding drugs and weapons in a home, according to the Sanpete County Sheriff's Office.
In cooperation with Fountain Green police, The Sanpete Juab Major Crimes Task Force, the Sanpete Sheriff's Office and the Utah County SWAT team searched a residence near 400 South and 100 East, where they arrested occupants Michael Hodges, 48, Tara Hodges, 55, Kirk Johnson, 43, Edmond "Cass" Edmunds, 63, and Fredrick Carter, 49, according to police.
The Hodges and Edmonds were living in the home, according to detective Sgt. Chad Nielson with the Sanpete County Sheriff's Office.
Officials searched the home after doing some investigations of drug activity in the area and hearing some complaints, Nielson said.
They found and took evidence of "a substantial drug distribution network," including drugs and many firearms, police said.
Those in custody were arrested in connection with firearms and drug-related charges, police said, with a bail of almost $200,000 for Michael Hodges.
The five were booked into the Sanpete County Sheriff's Office without incident.
