DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Patrick Cole missed just one shot all night, scoring a career-high 23 points as North Carolina Central dominated NAIA-member Montreat 107-68 on Tuesday night.
Cole was 3 of 4 from beyond the arc, made 8 of 9 from the floor and hit all four free throw attempts. Rashaun Madison hit 5 of 9 from long range for a career-high 21 points, C.J. Wiggins added a career-high 17 and Jamal Ferguson and Kyle Benton chipped in 12 apiece.
The Eagles (5-8) made 9 of 15 from long range and hit 59 percent of their shots from the floor, while limiting Montreat to 23-of-57 shooting.
Jeremiah Ingram nailed a 3-point jumper to start the scoring as North Carolina Central sprinted to a 64-30 advantage at the break and coasted to the win.
Alonzo Mobley and Sam McKinney had 14 points apiece for Montreat.
