INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Police say they've identified a juvenile responsible for a bomb threat that led to the closing of schools in south suburban Indianapolis.
Franklin police say they've forwarded the information to prosecutors for their review. It wasn't clear Wednesday whether the juvenile was in custody.
The bomb threat Dec. 16 led to a lockdown at Franklin Community High school that day and prompted administrators to cancel classes for the entire 5,000-student district the following day on what would have been the final school day before the holiday break. The district is about 20 miles south of Indianapolis.
The threat came on the same day that two school districts in Indianapolis' western suburbs canceled classes because of threats received there.
