LAS VEGAS (AP) — A woman accused of intentionally plowing her car with her 3-year-old daughter in the back seat through crowds of pedestrians on the Las Vegas Strip faces a judge today on felony murder, hit-and-run and child abuse charges. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Military officials say a streak of light seen burning across the sky by people in three Western states was debris from a Russian rocket re-entering the atmosphere. The fireball seen over Arizona, Nevada and California last night was a rocket body booster from Russia that was launched Monday. Dozens of people took to social media to share images and marvel at the white fireball flying through the sky.

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — The last of three white lions on loan from the Siegfried & Roy animal and magic act has died at an Ohio Zoo. Toledo Zoo officials said today that Courage has been euthanized after a two-year struggle with kidney and liver disease.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Jalen Poyser scored 18 points, Ike Nwamu added 16 points, and UNLV made 18 3-pointers in a 103-68 victory over South Dakota last night. It's the second most single-game makes from 3-point range in Mountain West Conference history — and the most since 2011.
