CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Gov. Brian Sandoval has signed four bills into law to seal a $335 million deal that will bring electric carmaker Faraday Future to Nevada. Sandoval held a brief ceremony at the Nevada Capitol late yesterday afternoon and congratulated lawmakers for cementing the deal during a four-day special session. Bills finalized Saturday authorize $215 million in tax breaks, and clear the way for $120 million in infrastructure improvements near Faraday's planned factory. The factory is expected to employ 4,500 workers and create another 9,000 indirect jobs.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) — The FAA says a small plane is missing after disappearing from radar about 10 miles south of Bakersfield in central California. Agency spokesman Ian Gregor says the single-engine Piper PA32 was last detected around 4 p.m. yesterday while flying from Reid-Hillview Airport, east of San Jose, to Henderson Executive Airport near Las Vegas, Nevada. Gregor said the FAA has issued an alert notice, which is the first step in initiating the search-and-rescue process.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 21-year-old man riding a motorcycle has died after his bike collided with a pickup truck in a Las Vegas intersection. Las Vegas police say the collision happened around 3:40 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Elkhorn Road and Red Cinder Street. According to investigators, a 2016 Ram 1500 pickup was turning left when the motorcycle struck its passenger side. Emergency responders pronounced the rider, Brandon Michael Degrella, dead at the scene.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say a person was found shot to death in the backyard of a home. Police say officers were dispatched to the home at around 6:50 a.m. yesterday. They found a victim with a gunshot wound. Authorities are not releasing any details about the victim and have not determined what led to the shooting. Police say this marks the 126th homicide in Las Vegas so far this year.
