ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) — The Oakland Raiders placed starting right tackle Austin Howard on injured reserve Saturday because of a knee injury and signed safety Tevin McDonald from the practice squad.

Howard hurt his knee last week in Denver and the Raiders decided Saturday to shut him down for the season. McDonald will be eligible to play Sunday against Green Bay.

Right guard J'Marcus Webb is expected to move over to fill Howard's spot at tackle with rookie Jon Feliciano possibly getting his first career start at guard against the Packers.
