DETROIT (AP) — Canucks captain Henrik Sedin will miss Vancouver's game Friday night against the Detroit Red Wings with a lower-body injury.

Henrik Sedin is Vancouver's second-leading scorer behind his twin brother Daniel. He sustained a lower-body injury in the second period of a 2-0 loss to Philadelphia on Thursday night and did not return.

The 35-year-old has nine goals and 22 assists in 33 games this year. Canucks coach Willie Desjardins said he does not expect Henrik Sedin to miss much time.

Sedin has only missed 12 games in the last 11 seasons, all during the 2013-14 season.
